Essay Review

Today, I got the first review from my consultant for MIT application. She told me to re-structure and rewrite few essays. Her argument varies from not directing my essays to the question asked to writing in very passive way. Okay. I accept it. Following guidelines, I will stick to:
Be more direct: Breaking the question into parts and then answering each question part by part. Later on, I can regroup them and compile as one essay.
Secondly, more I than we. Adcom is not looking for a team but for a person who has done the things. So, I should accept that what i have done as a team member is not necessarily stated as WE. There also, i stood as I. This is like selling yourself. If you don't sell well, then stay at home. There is no point in spending money.
So, I would be more direct in my next round of essay. What i am doing now is compiling and restructuring my essays for MIT. I need to fill the application also. Lots of things to do.

MBA essays is like designing a software solution.

Step 1: Requirements gathering: read up on various sources: website, blogs, interviews, etc.
Step 2: Design: Prepare a rough layout of the structure of ur esay-Intro, body(pt 1, pt 2 , etc), Conclusion.
Step 3: Coding: Expand the points-write all things substantially.
Step 4: testing: Give your essays to the reviewers.
Step 5: Bug fixing: like any software project, the testing phase will invariably involve loads of bug-fixes coz the reviewers generally come up with both "aha" and "duh" pointers.
Step 6: Deploy: Submit the app, and hope for the best.
